Small device.
Proper goodbye.
Vapes, batteries, chargers and electrical accessories need a separate recycling route. Keep them out of household rubbish and mixed recycling bins.
See this symbol? Recycle separately.
The crossed-out-bin symbol is a disposal instruction, not a certification badge. KLYQ sources electrical and battery products from suppliers who confirm WEEE and battery compliance.
Vapes & electrical devices
Return complete used vape devices, reusable kits, chargers and electrical burners through an appropriate WEEE collection point. Do not dismantle a device or force out a sealed battery. Ask the collection point whether it accepts vapes before travelling.
Removable batteries
Only remove a battery if the manufacturer designed it to be removable. Keep loose batteries separate from metal objects, protect exposed terminals with non-conductive tape and take them to a battery collection point. Do not crush, puncture or burn them.
Liquids, pods & refills
Keep residual e-liquid sealed and away from children and pets. Do not pour it down a drain. Ask your local authority about the correct route for liquid residues. A pod containing electronics or a battery belongs in an appropriate electrical-waste route.
Packaging & accessories
Recycle clean, dry cardboard and accepted packaging using local guidance. Grinders, trays, pipes, lighters and heat-resistant glass have different materials and disposal routes. Do not put smoking glass in a bottle bank or pressurised lighters into mixed recycling. Let charcoal cool completely before disposal.
Free take-back
Waste electrical equipment can be returned free on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis when an equivalent new item is purchased. Waste portable batteries can be returned free without buying a new battery where that battery type is supplied. Email support@klyq.ie to arrange KLYQ take-back; we will confirm the collection or return arrangements before anything is sent.
Damaged or swollen?
Stop using or charging the product. Keep it away from heat and combustible materials if safe to do so. Contact the collection operator for damaged-battery instructions. Do not put a damaged lithium battery into ordinary post or a courier parcel without approved arrangements.
Find a collection point
Use the vape, electrical or battery filters to find an appropriate location. Coverage and accepted items vary by collection point.
